Edwards helped lead Vista Murrieta to its first-ever Southwestern League title this season with some eye-popping numbers. The powerful backstop hit .544 with six homers, 40 RBI and 12 doubles. She added a .602 on-base percentage and a .900 slugging percentage for good measure. Along with twin sister Tatum, the team’s star pitcher, Edwards led Vista Murrieta to a 23-7 record.
