Sheldon reached No. 1 in the USA Today national rankings during the 2008 season thanks to Henderson. She won 30 games, tossed 22 shutouts, struck out 326 hitters and posted a 0.41 ERA. She struck out 10 batters in a game 17 times, while hitting .400 with 31 RBI. Henderson was named the Sacramento Bee All-Metro Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.
